History

SPS are the UK's leading security print solution provider in the revenue protection and brand protection domain.

Originally the business produced tickets for major events and secure cheques. But over the years the business has increasingly focused on specialist A4 documents (certificates and legal paperwork), brand protection and tax & revenue protection solutions for governments in MEA.

 

The business was founded in the 1980s to be innovation led with a single purpose; to defeat counterfeit and fraud.

The business now has key patents in security design and IP in production engineering anti counterfeit. We continue to innovate in tracking and trace solutions and in service management and fulfillment.

Intergraf Accreditation

03 April 2019

Security Print Solutions has been inspected by an independent affiliated officer in line with the regulations set out by the ISO 14298 standard for the Management of security printing processes. This follows the implementation of increased security procedures at our site in Consett, County Durham. The inspection resulted in a positive outcome and we are pleased to announce that as of 28th March 2019, SPS are officially recognised as an ISO 14298 accredited organisation.

Stephen Wilson joined SPS in May 1984 and has worked in a number of departments throughout the company. He was appointed as a Director in May 2000 and since that time he has developed all of Security Print Solutions’ Quality Assurance & Corporate Compliance Programs. Stephen manages the company’s audit process, continuous quality improvement initiatives and workplace monitoring, as well as serving as SPS Privacy and Security Officer.

Senior Advisor

Glynne Evans, DBE, CMG, Ph.D is a former University lecturer and diplomat. In her Foreign Office career, she specialised in multilateral work particularly European Union and UN and served in Buenos Aires, UK Mission to UN New York, Brussels, Santiago, Rome and Lisbon. As an expert in conflict management and peacekeeping, she travelled widely in conflict areas and was a regular lecturer at Staff Colleges and Defence Academies in the UK and overseas and was seconded as a Research Associate to the International Institute of Strategic Studies and as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the NATO Defence College. She was Ambassador To Chile and Portugal, and later a member of the Foreign Secretary's Locarno advisory group. For the last decade, she has been an adviser to companies working on security issues and chairs a committee addressing standards and ethics for the relevant trade association.
